320 People Have Signed Up for Reverse 9-1-1 System

Residents or businesses in Kendall County are encouraged to sign-up for the alerts.

In November, the KenCom Public Safety Center changed their reverse 9-1-1 system designed to provide emergency notification to residents and businesses in Kendall County to the Everbridge Mass Notification System.

Those of you who previously registered under the old system must visit the new site to re-enter your information.  This reverse 9-1-1 system gives us the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency notifications and informational messages to either targeted areas or the entire County via telephone calls, text messages, or email.

Emergency notifications that you will receive may contain information regarding tornadoes, flooding, severe winter weather alerts or other significant weather events that may be important to you.

There may be other Village related messages that will be sent regarding unique circumstances that residents should know about such as boil orders, long term road closures due to an unplanned event and other information that is important to know about.  This system is geared towards emergency notifications in which the Oswego Police Department and/or the Village need to inform you.

Since the launch of the usage of this program in our community, 320 people have set up accounts.  This is a great means of communication to our residents and it only takes a few minutes to register.

If there are multiple people in your residence that would benefit from this service please have them set up accounts as well.  Please click here to register and learn more about the Everbridge Mass Notification System.
