5 Things To Do In Oswego This Weekend

OSWEGO, IL — There will be plenty to do in Oswego this weekend — if the weather holds up. Here are five things to do in town this weekend.

Oswego Literary Fest: More than 5o authors are slate to attend the yearly book fest in Oswego Sunday. The event has been moved to Village Hall, where authors will lead readings, sign books and participate in discussions. There will be a number of kids' authors and events, too. Fall Festival at Northfork Farm: This festival helps usher in fall while serving as a fundraiser for School District 308. Starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, the event will include appetizers, an open bar, silent auction and music. The farm is at 1998 Johnson Rd. For more information, click here.

Oswego H.S. Choir and Drama Mattress Sale/Fundraiser: From 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Saturday, the Oswego High School will turn into a fully stocked mattress showroom. Mattresses will be available to test and/or buy, with every purchase coming with a free set of sheets. Some proceeds from the event will help fund a group of singers seeking to go to Indianapolis for the Music For All Festival. For more information, click here.

Low-cost pet vaccine clinic: Dog owners can get low-cost vaccines and other services at the this clinic, being held at Top North Kennels, 2175 Collins Rd., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The clinic is by appointment only. To register, call 630-961-8000 and click here for more info.
