Accident in Oswego Cuts Power to Traffic Signals
A semi tractor crashed at the intersection of Orchard Road and Lewis Street
On Thursday morning, Oswego Police reported that a semi tractor had lost control and knocked out the power for the traffic signal at Orchard Road and Lewis Street, according to the department's Facebook page. Police said that salt crews were active, but cautioned that roads were still slick.
According to the Beacon News, police said a red 2015 Freightliner hit utility boxes at the intersection at about 1:55 a.m. The driver, a 59-year-old Texas man, and the passenger, a 33-year-old California man, were not transported to the hospital. Police estimate the damage is more than $1,500.
