Ronald Laehn graduates from Abilene Christian University
Ronald Laehn of Oswego, Illinois graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Abilene Christian University.

Laehn was among more than 1,200 students who received degrees at May Commencement in a combined ceremony for December 2020 and May 2021 graduates.
Students whose GPAs are at least 3.6 graduate cum laude (with honor), 3.75 graduate magna cum laude (with high honor), and 3.9 graduate summa cum laude (with highest honor).

Kijana Caldwell named to spring 2021 dean's list at the University of Findlay
Kijana Caldwell, of Oswego, 60543, was named to the spring 2021 dean's list at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Local students named to dean's and president's lists at The University of Alabama
A total of 11,813 students enrolled during the spring 2021 term at The University of Alabama made the Dean's List with academic records of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale), or the President's List with academic records of 4.0 (all A's).
The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load. Local students include:

Stephen Waite earns semester honors at Edgewood College
Stephen Waite of Oswego has earned Semester Honors for the Spring 2021 semester at Edgewood College. Full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average for the semester are eligible for this honor.

Abby Miller named to Ohio Univerisity's spring 2021 dean's list
Ohio University Scripps College of Communication student Abby Miller from Oswego, IL, has been named to the University of Ohio's Spring 2021 Dean's List.
More than 7,800 students qualified for the spring semester 2021 Dean's List at Ohio University, including main and regional campuses.
Over 40 states were represented on the Dean's List, including: Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Mexico, Washington and Ohio. Students also represented China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Oman, Peru and many other countries.
Due to COVID-19, OHIO students who earned 12 semester hours of credit, including at least six hours attempted for letter grades, with a minimum grade point average of at least 3.5 achieved this distinction.

Jessica Smith earns dean's list recognition at Valdosta State University
Valdosta State University congratulates Jessica Smith of Oswego, Illinois, for earning a spot on the Spring 2021 Dean's List.
Dean's List honors are reserved for the highest achieving students at VSU. Smith is one of more than 1,700 distinguished and accomplished students recognized for exemplifying excellence in the attainment of their educational goals.
To qualify for Dean's List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Please note that developmental studies, transient, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean's List.
