Here's where to stay cool if you find yourself without air conditioning this weekend.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Extremely hot and potentially stormy weather is predicted in the Chicago area, and that includes Kendall County. Temperatures could hit 95 degrees, with a possible heat index of 100 degrees, Friday.
The first round of thunderstorms is expected to move into the area late Thursday and another round of storms is expected Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Localized flooding is also a possibility, according to the weather service, due to rain that's expected to be very heavy.
