In Fraidycat 5K, Runners Can Race Against Their 'Ghost'
Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare Is Putting On An Oswego 5K, Ghost Run and Meow Mile

OSWEGO, IL — Healthy Driven’s running series culminates in Sunday's Fraidycat 5K in Oswego. New this year is a “ghost run,” where runners can circle the course a second time to compete against the “ghost” of themselves from the first pass. Top 3 finishers whose second split is closest to their first will win a trophy.
Registration is still available online with no fees, or on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m. The “meow mile” registration closes at 8:45 a.m. and the 5K and ghost run (10K) registration cloess at 9 a.m. This year’s charity partnership is with the Kendall County Food pantry. If running isn’t your thing, volunteers are still needed.
Trophies will be presented to top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards will be given to top three in each age group. The award presentation will begin around 10:30 a.m.
This is the third race in the Healthy Driven Series put on by Edward-Elmhurst Health. The first was the Plainfield Harvest 5K in late September followed by Naperville’s half marathon and 5K Oct. 22. Those who complete all three will get a special award. This year’s charity partnership is with the Kendall County Food pantry.
