Holiday 2017: Toys For Tots Drive Helps Local Children
Oswego firefighters collected more than 7,000 toys last year during its annual Toys For Tots drive.
OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Fire Department's annual Toys for Tots program has begun. Four fire stations in the fire protection district are partnering with Oswego School District 308 Junior High Schools, the Marine Corps and the Oswego Optimist Club to help local families in need this holiday season. New, unwrapped toys will be accepted at any of the Oswego fire stations:
- 3511 Woolley Rd, Oswego
- 2200 Wiesbrook Dr, Oswego
- 2200 Galena Rd, Montgomery
- 27100 W 127th St, Plainfield

Last year, there were more than 7,000 toys given to kids in the Kendall County area, according to a press release from the Oswego Fire Protection District. They also collected a hundred new bikes from a drive that were also given away to local families in need.
If you're part of or know of a family in need this holiday season, the fire protection district wants to hear from you. Call 630-554-2110 to make a request. Donations in the form of gift cards are still being taken for the two dozen families who were displaced after the Oswego Light Road Fire earlier this month.
