Home Sales Prices Increase in Oswego from Sept. 2012-13

The number of homes sold year over year increased slightly as well.

The 40 single, detached homes sold in Oswego during September 2013 represented a 5.3 percent increase over September 2012, when 38 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe).

Median sales prices increased year over year, up 13.3 percent to $232,250 from $205,000 last year. 

In the far west suburbs listed, Geneva experienced the most significant increase in sales over the same period last year. Batavia had the greatest percentage increase in median sales price, up 40.4 percent.

Overall, September 2013 sales in the Chicago suburbs were up 30.7 percent compared to the same time last year. The median sale price for detached homes increased 12.6 percent from the previous September, and the number of homes under contract rose by 30.4 percent
