Jury Trials Pause In Kendall County Extended Amid Pandemic
The pause will last through March 1. The court initially paused jury proceedings last November.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The 23rd Judicial Circuit Court in Kendall and DeKalb counties has extended its pause of jury trials amid the coronavirus pandemic, the court announced in a press release Thursday.
The pause will last through March 1. The court initially paused jury proceedings last November.
Chief Judge Robert Pilmer said in the press release that courts will not be reducing any other court operations as was done earlier. He said the decision to continue the pause was made in consultation with Judge Robbin Stuckert, presiding judge in DeKalb County, and was taken as a precaution to minimize the spread of the virus within the courthouses and counties.
