Man Sentenced for Selling Heroin in Oswego

Jermaine R. Banks, 23, will serve seven years.

A Chicago man was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, said Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis.

Jermaine R. Banks, 23, of the 4700 block of West Superior, Chicago, pled guilty to the charge.

He was arrested in July 2013 after members of the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team (C.P.A.T) witnessed him selling heroin in Oswego.

He will be required to serve two years of mandatory supervised release after he serves his seven-year prison sentence.
