For many, it's also the unofficial start of summer — but since it's a national holiday, it's important to keep in mind that schools and government offices will be closed on that day.

Open

Most businesses will be open, but it's not a bad idea to call ahead before heading out to a restaurant or shop. Some businesses will be offering discounts to veterans or active-duty military, so if you've served, bring your military ID with you.
