Business owner Fadi Mohammed has asked the village to consider allowing him to open a cafe with video gaming machines, according to Only Oswego. The business would sell deli meat, cheese, beer and wine, and it would have five video gaming machines.
The proposed store, Milly’s Café, would be in a strip mall on Route 34 near Route 30. There are two businesses in Oswego that currently offer video gaming, PD's Place and Stella's Place.
"I don't want Oswego to be known for its gaming establishments," Trustee Joe West said, according to Only Oswego.

Mohammed said he lives in Illinois and he would be involved in the community if his business is allowed to open in Oswego.
"I'm leaning to supporting it because of this location and because there is a deli there," Trustee Pam Parr said according to Only Oswego

Four of six trustees supported Mohammed’s proposal, but a final vote is required at another board meeting.
