Multiple Bikes Reported Stolen Around Oswego: Police

Wednesday, Oct. 2

No valid driver’s license, warrant

Martez M. Carey, 25, of the 900 block of West New York, Aurora, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. at Douglas and Barnaby on a warrant and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police.

Burglary

Oswego police are investigating a burglary that occurred between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 in the 300 block of Prairieview Drive. Faucets and a sink valued at $665 were reported stolen.

Monday, Sept. 30

No valid driver’s license

Efrain Saenz, 27, of the 1200 block of Oakmont, Sandwich, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. at Washington and Madison and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.

Sunday, Sept. 29

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the 2300 block of Route 34. The victim lost her wallet in a parking lot of a business in the 2300 block of Route 34 in the evening. Her credit cards were then used in the early morning of Sept. 30 at various Oswego businesses. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and gift cards worth over $800.

Saturday, Sept. 28

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a theft that occurred between Sept. 18 and Sept. 29 in the 300 block of Springbrook Trail South. Packages delivered by FedEx, UPS, and the USPS and valued at $300 were stolen.

Battery

Oswego police are investigating a battery that occurred at 10:30 a.m. at Oswego East High School.

Friday, Sept. 27

Theft

  • Oswego police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at 9:58 a.m. in the 4000 block of Route 34. $45.49 worth of gasoline was reported stolen.
  • Oswego police took a report for the theft of a bike valued at $300 that was stolen at an unknown time in the 100 block of Old Post.

Identity theft

Oswego police are investigating an identity theft that occurred on Aug. 22 The victim’s information was used to open up a credit card account and obtain a loan through a website for $1,650.

Thursday, Sept. 26

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a bicycle theft that occurred at an unknown date and time from Oswego High School. The bike was valued at $160.

Identity theft

Oswego police took a report for an identity theft that occurred on July 24 in the 500 block of Boulder Hill Pass. The victim’s identity was compromised without permission.
