National Accreditation For Kendall County Jail: Sheriff

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility has received an accreditation from the American Correctional Association, meeting 100 percent of the organization’s standards.

The ACA’s expected practices met practical up-to-date policies and procedures used by correctional facilities around the world.

"It is the mission of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility to operate in accordance with the highest jail standards," Sheriff Dwight Baird said in a news release. "I’m incredibly proud of the men and women who work every day to ensure that our mission is accomplished."

The county’s facility met 100 percent of ACA’s mandatory standards and 94 percent of its non-mandatory standards, according to the release. The organization’s standards were formed by national experts in corrections, law, architecture and health care.
