Organizers For Wine On The Fox Seeking Volunteers

OSWEGO, ILL – Organizers for Wine on the Fox are seeking volunteers to help with the annual event, set for May 4-5. The festival will feature 190 wines from Illinois and around the world.

Volunteers will be tasked with completing three-hour shifts in which they will help pour wine, sell tickets, set and tear down, and check gates. In return for donating their time, volunteers get a commemorative glass and wristband, and either free food vouchers or discounts on wine packages at the event.

During the festival, community organizations in Oswego will have the chance to promote their organization and earn donations by offering volunteer time from their members, officials said.

To sign up, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0b49ada628a0fd0-volunteer1 (find the link at www.oswegoil.org) and pick a time slot. Volunteers handling alcohol must be age 21 or older to participate. All volunteers are required to submit a release form and safety check the day of the event.

Also during the event, attendees will get to learn about different varietals, try different food pairings, listen to live music and shop the Mother’s Day Boutique.

Entry is free. Those interested can purchase wine packages, which are on sale now, beginning at $15 when purchased online or at Oswego Village Hall prior to the event.

Proceeds will benefit other family-friendly events in the Oswego community throughout the year, including Fourth of July fireworks and Movies in the Park.
