Oswego and Oswego East Both Heading to Playoffs

Find out when the Panthers and Wolves play and how to get into the games.

Oswego's high schools are on fire and lighting up the football field.

Both Oswego and Oswego East will be heading to the IHSA playoffs as two of five teams in the Southwest Prairie Conference.

Oswego

Oswego High School went 7-0 in conference and 7-2 for the season to claim the the title of champion for the Southwest Prairie Conference. 

In their first playoff match the Panthers take on Hinsdale Central's Red Devils at home. Hinsdale Central went 3-3 in conference and 5-4 for the season in the West Suburban (Silver) Conference. 

The game kicks off at Ken Pickerill Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 and the gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets will cost $5 and there will be no pre-sale of tickets and passes will not be allowed. 

There will also be no re-entry to the stadium and no saving of seats is allowed. 

Oswego East

For the first time in their nine-year history, Oswego East has made the IHSA playoffs after beating Plainfield North on Friday.

The Wolves will play their first playoff game on the road against the Belleville West Maroons. The Maroons went 5-2 in conference and 7-2 for the season in the Southwestern Conference. 

The game begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Belleville West.

For students wanting to cheer on their team their will be a fan bus to take them to and from the game.

Tickets cost $10 and will include admission into the game, although students will be responsible for their own food and drinks. 

Students may pick up permission slips beginning Tuesday, October 29 in the athletic office.  Signed forms are due no later than 9 a.m. Friday, November 1.
