Oswego Bank Robber Implied He Had Gun: Police

The US Bank located outside the Meijer store was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday.

OSWEGO, IL — A US Bank located outside the Meijer store in Oswego was robbed on Wednesday, village police said.

The Oswego Police Department responded at 5:06 p.m. to the Meijer store located at 2700 Route 34. At approximately 5:00 p.m., a man walked up to the bank counter, implied he had a weapon, and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash. He then fled the store, police said.

According to the description, the man is in his mid to late twenties or thirties, wearing a fedora hat, black mask, black or navy blue buttoned-up shirt and a black jacket, police said.

Oswego Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call Oswego police at (630) 551-7300. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to Kendall County Crime Stoppers at (630)553-5999. Such tips leading to an arrest can result in a cash reward.
