Oswego Board Selects Developer For Old Lumberyard Site
The development will include residential units, commercial space and a parking deck

The Oswego Village Board has selected the Shodeen Group to develop the old lumberyard site at 59 S. Adams St., according to a village press release.
The developer plans to construct 'The Reserve at Hudson Crossing,' a multi-story building that will include residential units, a parking deck and commercial space.
"Revitalization of Downtown Oswego is one of our top priorities. In two short years, we approved our first TIF District and have now selected the developer that will finally end a decade of stagnation at the Alexander Lumber property," Village President Gail Johnson said in a statement. "We are thrilled to be working with a prominent, experienced developer."

The village will encourage restaurants to occupy the commercial space.
The Alexander lumberyard closed in 2006, and the last development proposal for the site was submitted in 2010. In December, the village purchased the property for $1,492,500, according to Kendall County Now.
