General education high school students would begin hybrid learning Feb. 1.
During the meeting, members decided that plans will remain as they currently are until Feb. 12, although high school students will now begin hybrid learning the week of Jan. 25.

Phase 2 of the district’s plan will end March 26, right before spring break. Parents will have the chance to switch their student between hybrid in-person learning and remote by choice, but a student’s choice will only need to be recorded by the district if the student is changing from their current learning environment.
A form to change learning environments will be available on the district website and the decision must be communicated to the district by 10 a.m., Feb. 1.

According to the plan, elementary school students in the hybrid plan will attend school four days a week from 8:40 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. Classes will not be divided into A/B groups and all in-person students will attend together. Social distancing will be practiced as much as possible and for classes with more than 20 in-person students, parents will be notified of the opportunity to change to remote based on limited availability of social distancing in the classrooms. Students will not be eating while at school.
Elementary students in the remote by choice program will have digital instruction in the morning for art, music, physical education and independent work time, and will receive live sessions with their teachers five days a week in the afternoons for math, reading, and writing. Small group online instruction will also be scheduled for remote students who require additional support.
Junior high and high school students in hybrid learning will continue to attend school in A/B schedule groups, with Group A attending Mondays and Tuesdays, and Group B attending in-person Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, all students will attend all classes remotely with their teachers through Go Live! sessions. Students will participate remotely in their classes on the days they are not in-person.
In-person attendance for junior high students will run from 8:05 a.m. until 1:05 p.m. High school students will attend in-person from 7:20 a.m. until 12:20 p.m. Students in the remote by choice program will participate remotely each day, following the same schedule as in-person students. On Wednesdays, all students will attend all classes remotely with their teachers through Go Live! sessions.
Early childhood students in hybrid learning will be divided into A.M. and P.M. groups. In the A.M. group, students will attend Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Students in the P.M. group will attend Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. On Wednesdays, students will take part in independent work and live sessions with teaching assistants.
Early childhood students in remote learning will attend Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Remote sessions will begin with a recorded session; teachers will go live at 10:45 a.m. Students will also have 30 minutes of additional pre-recorded activities and virtual Choice Boards for parents to complete with their children at their convenience.
