Oswego Fire Dept. Is Accepting Car Donations, Used For Training
Any cars, including pickup trucks, SUVs or vans, are acceptable. The car doesn't have to run either, but it's preferred if they can roll.
OSWEGO, IL — Do you have a used car you've been itching to get rid of and replace with a new one? The Oswego Fire Protection District is looking for car donations to use for training.
The car doesn't have to run, but it's preferred if they're able to roll. The department asked in a news release Wednesday that the donated cars have a clear title in the donator's name.
Any used cars — including pickup trucks, SUVs and vans — are repurposed and allow employees the opportunity for hands-on training. They might also be used to perform live demonstrations for events including Open House, Oswego Junior Public Safety Academy and Operation Prom.
