Oswego to Focus on Removing Leaves from Streets
Due to the recent snowfall, the Village of Oswego was unable to complete the third and final round of leaf collection.

OSWEGO, IL — Due to the recent snowfall, the Village of Oswego was unable to complete the third and final round of leaf collection.
The next goal is to remove as many leaves as possible from the streets before the next snow fall, according to the Village.
“We are using our end loader and the leaf vacuums to accomplish this task. The vacuums do not perform well when snow is mixed in with leafs or when the leaves freeze,” the Village said on its Facebook page. “Given the forecast for dropping temperatures and snow this weekend, we will not be able to complete the leaf removal using only the vacuums. We are prioritizing piles left in the streets over those piles in the yards to provide for safe roads.
