Oswego Gobbler Hobbler 10K Race Results
Sunday's Gobbler Hobbler and Mashed Potato Miles races drew in plenty of kids and kids at heart.

OSWEGO, IL — The average racer in the Oswegoland Park District’s Gobbler Hobbler 10K crossed the finish line in one hour, three minutes and 46 seconds. Sunday’s Mashed Potato Mile race brought in no shortage of kiddos, but a special shout-out goes to the 8-year-old who ran the 10K. Also, major props to 76-year-old Robert Zikmund, who finished the Gobbler Hobbler in one hour and twelve minutes. About three-quarters of the people who signed up for the 10K crossed the finish line.
This year’s top male was Shane Gillespie, age 37, of Aurora, with a chip time of 33:52. Gillespie runs a 5 minute and 27 second mile. Other top male finishers include:

Ron Jaegle, 41, 37:34
Eddy Allen, 23, 38:30

The 10K’s top female finisher was Lisa Cook, age of Oswego, with a time of 39 minutes and 44 seconds. The 32-year-old runs a 6 minute and 24 second mile. The no. 2 - no. 5 female finishers are as follows:

Maggie Corner, 26, 42:11
Britney Kravish, 25, 42:18

As for the Mashed Potato Mile, top times belong to the following runners:

Congratulations for all who participated in the 2017 Gobbler Hobbler 10K and Mashed Potato Mile. In total, both races brought in 1,456 participants, according to results from itsyourrace.com. 61 percent were female, 39 percent male. More than 65 volunteers were needed to pull off the race.
