Oswego Police Blotter Oct. 15-19: Battery At Elementary School & A Caffeine Deprived Thief

OSWEGO, IL — Here's a look at the reported crime in your area that were reported Oct. 15 - Oct. 19.

10/6 (reported 10/19)
Police are investigating an identity theft report in which someone opened a fraudulent AT&T accounts and had SIM cards sent to his address near the intersection of Wolfs Crossing and Route 30.

Police are investigating battery that occurred at Hunt Club Elementary School.

Someone knocked a mailbox off its pole with a vehicle in the evening. The cross streets were Lincoln Station Drive and Proclamation.

Oswego Police are investigating a reported wedding ring theft on Arbor Lane.

Someone damaged a women's vehicle overnight by breaking the passenger front window. The car was parked on Hawley Drive.

Woman reported her purse was stolen out of her car. It was parked on the southeast corner of Rt. 30 and Douglas Road. The 25-year-old victim claims about $980 worth of goods were taken.

A hit-and-run on Truman Drive in Hometown Subdivision resulted in more than $500 worth of damage to a parked vehicle.

A 16-year-old rear ended another vehicle at the corner of Route 34 and Mason Square, resulting in over $1,500 worth of damage. The car ahead of it was trying to make a left turn.

Money and knives were taken from a property on Franklin Street near Garfield. There are no suspects.

Alexis Wallace, 21, was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest. She was caught stealing $60 worth of goods from CVS Pharmacy.

Eric Long, 42, was caught stealing $30 worth of merchandise from Walmart. The man from Westmont was arrested and charged with retail theft, in state warrants and trespass to land with use of intoxicating compounds.

A vehicle burglary resulted in $3,600 worth of goods taken. The incident took place in the Walmart parking lot.

$800 worth of items were taken from Meijer. Items stolen include: Two Ninja coffee makers, One Keurig Coffee Maker and two Boss receivers.

Jada Brown, 18, of Aurora, was charged with two counts of domestic battery that took place that morning.
