Oswego School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

OSWEGO, IL — The first day of school in Oswego is August 15 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Community Unit School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/19: Early Dismissal (School Improvement Day)

November

• 11/1: Early Dismissal (Parent Teacher Conferences, Grades K-12)
• 11/2: No School for Early Development (Parent Teacher Conferences/Early High School Dismissal
• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/21: No School (District Closed)
• 11/22: No School (Thanksgiving)
• 11/23: No School (District Closed)

December

• 12/21: Early Dismissal (School Improvement Day)
• 12/24-1/4: No School

January

• 1/7: Students Return from Winter Break
• 1/18: Early Dismissal/No Early Childhood (School Improvement Day)
