Oswego Weekend Crime Summary

Police investigated three cases of retail theft, a car break-in, and a case of identity theft

The following information was obtained from Oswego Police Department reports:

Police investigated a suspected case of identity theft on the 300 block of Winthrop Drive on Friday afternoon.

On Friday just before 2 p.m., Jennifer Molitor, a 27-year-old from Yorkville, was arrested and charged with stealing $335.21 worth of merchandise from the Target on Route 34. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

On Friday night, Dominic Sisto, a 26-year-old, was arrested on the 4500 block of Route 71 for an outstanding warrant.

Just before 4 a.m. on Saturday, Margaret Martin, a 22-year-old from Oswego, was stopped near the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Pinehurst Lane. She was charged with disobeying a traffic control device, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license.

On Saturday, shortly before 10 a.m., two men were charged with retail theft at the Walmart at 2300 Route 34. Michael Marina, 21, from Plainfield, and Justin Rosado, 18, of Joliet, are accused of taking $92.63 worth of merchandise.

On Saturday around 5:30 p.m., there was a hit-and-run accident near the intersection of Route 34 and Douglas Road. Damage from the crash was estimate to exceed $1,500.

Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, a 30-year old from Aurora named Sunday Ogunjimi was charged with stealing $44.97 worth of items from the Walmart on Route 34.

Oswego police investigated a burglary to a motor vehicle on the 100 block of Seton Creek Lane that occurred on Saturday night. An estimated $700 worth of items were stolen.

On Sunday night, an unknown suspect broke the window of a vehicle parked on the 500 block of Cardinal Ave.

A charge is just an accusation of a crime, not a finding of guilt.
