Oswego's Free Fall Cleanup Is This Week
Fall cleanup week is next week, no stickers required.

OSWEGO, IL — Fall cleanup week is Nov. 13 - 17. In addition to regularly schedule trash pickup, Groot Industries will collect additional household waste, yard waste and bulk items for all Village of Oswego residents. Groot is the village's contracted waste hauler, and provides the free service each spring and fall. No stickers are required for yard waste, but all clippings, plants, twigs and small branches need to be placed in a 30-gallon paper yard waste bag for collection. Plastic bags won't be accepted.
According to a release from the Village of Oswego, bulk items will also be collected curbside without a sticker. As always, appliances, electronics, and televisions won't be accepted. To find out how to properly recycle electronic waste, contact Groot directly at 877-775-1200. All additional household waste, yard waste and bulk items must be placed along with your regular garbage and recycling at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular garbage day.
