Oswego's Gobbler Hobbler 10K

Police warn drivers of road delays for Sunday, Nov. 12.

OSWEGO, IL — The Gobbler Hobbler 10K Run and Mashed Potato Mile will take place Sunday, Nov. 12. The chip-timed run will lead athletes along the Fox River through downtown Oswego. Online registration is closed, but the Oswegoland Park District will still take participants on race day. The increased prices are $55 for the 10K and $25 for the mile run. Race day packet pickup is Nov. 12 from 7 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at Fox Chase Elementary School. The race begins 8:30 a.m. across Wormley Heritage Park and the Mashed Potato Mile starts ten minutes after. This 10K qualifies for the Oswego Triple Race Series. Awards will be announced prior to 11 a.m.

The Village of Oswego Police Department is warning the public of race day traffic delays, mostly between the hours of 7 and 11 a.m. while traveling on Route 34 and 31 through the downtown area. Delays on Madison, Washington and Main Streets close to downtown are also expected. Officials suggest finding alternative routes.

Parking for the event will be at Fox Chase Elementary School and Heritage Wormley Park. Additional street parking is available nearby.
