Pink Is The New Orange For Hunters, Oswego Police Say
Hunters can now wear blaze pink in addition to bright orange when on the prowl.

OSWEGO, IL — Police in Oswego say hunting mishaps are a leading cause of unintentional shootings, but a new Illinois state law is hoping to change that by making them easier to identify. Previously, hunters should have worn bright orange when out looking for deer and other varmits, but effective January 1, they may now wear blaze pink as well.
Here's the updated deer hunting regulations:
Clothing Requirements: A solid blaze orange or blaze pink cap/hat and an upper outer garment displaying at least 400 square inches of solid blaze orange or blaze pink material must be worn to hunt deer during all firearm deer seasons.
Camouflage orange or pink material does not meet the requirements, officials cautioned.
