Restaurant Patron Beats Employee, Cops: Police

The Yorkville man is charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors.

OSWEGO, IL — A restaurant patron was arrested Sunday after allegedly bothering other customers and beating up an employee, Oswego Police said in a press release. Chris W. Whisenant, 40, of the 1400 block of Cottonwood Trail in Yorkville, is facing charges of aggravated battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct.

Oswego Police arrived at the restaurant in the 1500 block of Douglas Road, just off of Route 34, at around 6 p.m. Whisenant resisted police orders and battered a police officer, police said. He was taken to Kendall County Public Safety Center for booking.

Two of his charges area felonies secured by the Kendall County State's Attorney's Office, the other two are misdemeanors. His pending court date is Jan. 9.
