Local Community Robotics Team Turbo Charged along with the Illinois Spina Bifida Association, Shriners Hospital Oak Park and Area Kiwanis Club built and modified cars for kids with physical disabilities.
Turbo Charged built 4 of the 8 cars done on June 1st at the Shriners Hospital in Oak Park IL. The team had to build each car according to the manufactures directions, they then rewired the controls to make it a hand control ride on car. These customization's made the cars unique for each child, they included adjustments such as harness seat belts, padding, body supports and even personalized with their name.

Turbo Charged presented the children with the finished cars and got to experience their first drive in their new car.

Sponsors for the event included Illinois Spina Bifida Association, Shriners Hospital for Children, Shirley Ryan Abilitylab Oak Park and various Kiwanis Clubs of IL.
