Village Hosts Virtual Music Concert Amid Pandemic

The band Vicarious that had graced the village's Wine on the Fox last year will be back for a virtual concert Saturday, May 30.

OSWEGO, IL — The Village of Oswego announced in April that it would be postponing its beloved summer festival, Wine on the Fox, due to the coronavirus pandemic. But in order to give residents a chance to enjoy the season despite social distancing rules, the band Vicarious will be back for a virtual concert Saturday, May 30.

From 7-8 p.m., residents can enjoy the easy listening classic rock tunes of the band from the comfort of their homes. When the wine festival was postponed, Vicarious agreed to give Oswego their own live online show.

Viewers can set up a screen in the backyard and tune in to Go Oswego Facebook page.

The village is also organizing several fun-at-home challenges to get through the home stretch of the Illinois stay-at-home order. Before enjoying the concert, try these out:
