Water Main Flushing Begins This Week

The Public Works Department will be flushing water mains during the two week period of Sept. 28th through Oct. 9 (weather permitting).

The procedure clears sediment from the water distribution line, helps maintain water quality and verifies proper operation of the hydrants.

Crews will begin flushing at 7 a.m. Residents should do laundry before that time or after 6 p.m. on these days to avoid rust discoloration of clothes. If clothes become discolored, notify the Public Works Department at (630) 554-3242.
