Woman Finds Man Sleeping On Her Couch In Boulder Hill: Sheriff's Department

The woman initially though it was her daughter, then saw it was a 6-foot tall male.

A Boulder Hill woman woke up on Thursday to find a man sleeping on her couch, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Department.

The 53-year-old woman, who lives on the north end of Ashlawn Avenue, reported to deputies that her dogs woke her up around 7:50 a.m. on Thursday morning.

She saw someone sleeping on her couch and initially thought it was her daughter, according to . After calling out her daughter's name, she realized that the person on the couch was a male who was about six feet tall.

She ran outside and called 911. Responding deputies checked the residence. They found no suspect and no signs of forced entry. One deputy noted that the sliding glass door next to the couch had a lock that was engaged, but it did not secure the door.

The Sheriff's department is still investigating the incident as a residential burglary. The woman was not able to provide a description of the suspect. Sheriff's Spokeswoman Nancy Velez related details of this incident in a phone interview with Patch.
