2 Planes Nearly Collide At O'Hare

ROSEMONT, IL – Two airplanes came close to colliding Friday afternoon during takeoff at O’Hare International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration said the incident, which involved an American Airlines jet and an Envoy jet for American Airlines, nearly collided at about 12 p.m. when one of the airplanes began turning to the left instead of heading straight, according to ABC 7. Traffic controllers allerted the pilots to the potential crash and both planes were able to avoid colliding.
