2020-2021 Holiday Waste Collection Schedule In Palatine
Palatine residents are encouraged to mark their calendars as the following holidays will affect normally scheduled waste collection.
PALATINE, IL — In its latest newsletter, the Village of Palatine detailed the 2020-2021 Holiday Waste Collection Schedule for single-family homes. The village encourages residents to mark their calendars as the following holidays will affect normally scheduled waste collection by Groot Industries:
- December 21, 2020 — Christmas — No Change
- December 28, 2020 — New Year’s Day — No Change
- May 31, 2021 — Memorial Day — All collection one day later
- September 6, 2021 — Labor Day — All collection one day later
- December 27, 2021 — Christmas — No Change
Curbside collection of bagged and bundled yard waste ends the week of Dec. 14, and
resumes the week of April 5, the village added.

For those holidays not listed, solid waste collection will take place as regularly scheduled, the village said.
