American Legion holds Lent Fish Fry Dinners
The Palatine American Legion Post 690, Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion are holding a series of fish fries during Lent.

The Palatine American Legion Post 690, Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion are holding a series of fish fries during Lent upstairs in their socially distanced, family-friendly banquet hall, as carryout and curbside pickup which is open to the public from 5:45 PM until 8:00 PM at the American Legion 122 West Palatine Road in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.
“We will be serving crunchy, battered cod dinners for $12.00,” said Jennifer Iannuzzelli, project co-chair. “The dinners include a garden salad, fish, tater-tots, mac & cheese, rolls and dessert. A full service bar is available for drinks in the banquet hall and downstairs in the Legion’s clubroom. For carryout and curbside pickup call 847-701-4775.”
Masks are required and all CDC guidelines will be followed. The fish fries will be held on Fridays during Lent. In February, there will be one fish fry on February 26th. In March, they will be held on March 5th, March 12th, March 19th and March 26th. In April, the fish fry will be on Good Friday April 2nd.

“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion,” said Iannuzzelli. “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the Legion is the organization for you. The American Legion Family consists of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion (S.A.L.) and Legion Auxiliary. The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary began in 1919 while the S.A.L. was created in 1932 as patriotic veteran's organizations devoted to mutual helpfulness. These organizations are committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
