ArtReach Spotlite Present 'The Addams Family- the Musical'

From ArtReach Spotlite: ArtReach Educational Theatre in partnership with Spotlite Theatrix Production Company is staging The Addams Family – the Musical! Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice Based on the television show with characters by Charles Addams

Shows will be performed at The Leela Arts Center, located at 620 Lee Street in Des Plaines, IL. Performances will be on Friday, July 28th at 7:30pm, Saturday, July 29th at 3pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday, July 30th at 3pm. Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 at the door. The show is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams, in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. Numerous film and television adaptations of Addams' cartoons exist, but the musical, which is the first stage show based on the characters, is based upon the cartoons rather than the television and film characters.

The Show is Directed by Dan Walsh (of Des Plaines), with Choreography by Dan Walsh (of Des Plaines) and Jonah Parra (of Des Plaines), and Musical Direction by Jessica Harrigan Texidor.

The cast includes, Jonah Parra (of Des Plaiines) as Gomez. Madalyn Griseto (of Des Plaines) as Moritica, Jodie Lloyd (of Itasca) as Wednesday, Nathan King (of Arlington Heights) as Pugsley, Bruce Guyatt (of Chicago) as Uncle Fester, Megan O’Brien (of Des Plaines) as Grandma, Lee Kaufman (of Mt. Prospect) as Lerch, Rose Gould (of Palatine) as Alice, Daniel Rau (of Palatine) as Mal, and Kevin Foss (of Palatine) as Lucas.

The mission of ArtReach Educational Theatre is to expose children to all aspects of theatre, music and dance. We accept any child from Beginner to Advanced performing levels with a genuine interest in the arts from age 5 through high school. All children are challenged and encouraged.
