Charges Announced in Arlington Heights Pedestrian Fatality
Barbara Rose Leinonen, 58, of Arlington Heights, died after being hit by a car on March 11.
Arlington Heights Police have announced charges in the March 9 vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident that resulted in the death of Arlington Heights resident Barbara Rose Leinonen. Leinonen died on March 11 at Lutheran General Hospital, police stated in a written release.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Leinonen was arrested on charges of reckless driving, speeding, failure to yielf to right-of-way of pedestrian in crosswalk and obstructed windshield. The juvenile’s court date is April 28 in Cook County.
