Elaborate Christmas Train Display At Tire Shop

PALATINE, IL — It takes John Busch II, the manager of Busch Auto Service Center in Palatine, two months to put together his elaborate Christmas train display, which is currently up and running in the showroom of his Goodyear tire shop in town, the Daily Herald reports. The Lionel O-scale locomotives have different lights, sounds and smokes, and the display features more than 120 houses and different buildings — all which light up.

"I just love Christmas," Busch told the Daily Herald. "I could do it at home, but I want people to see it."

The display will be up through New Year's Eve at Busch Auto Service Center, 137 S. Northwest Highway in Palatine. Busch is the only person who operates the trains so it is best to call ahead to see if the trains will be running, 847-358-1234.
