Forest Park, IL – Heroin, fentanyl and other adulterants continued to be involved in the vast majority of almost 1,600 opioid overdose deaths in suburban Cook County since 2016. That is a top-level finding of a report on the opioid epidemic released today by the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) and the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
