Julia Schwager, 102, Palatine

Julia Schwager, a longtime resident of Palatine, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly on Dec. 17 at the age of 102.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at1 0:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., in Palatine. Interment All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. 

Julia was born on August 7, 1911, in Chicago, to the late Michael Walter and Julianna Walter (nee Weber).

Julia was the beloved wife of the late Lorenz Schwager; loving mother of the late Frank and the late Larry Schwager; loving grandmother of Mary Frances (Mike) Djus, Michael (Daniela) Schwager, Carolyn (Tom) Peceny, Steven Schwager, Cathy (Martin) Boyles, Laura (Richard) Moran, Therese (Dave) Klier, and Patrick (Mary Beth) Schwager; great grandmother 27 and great great grandmother of three. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Julia would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL  60067.
