Local Church A Drop-Off Site For Palatine Food Pantry Necessities

Food pantry donations are needed for Palatine neighbors who are unemployed and struggling to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic.

PALATINE, IL — First United Methodist Church, located at 123 N. Plum Grove Road, is a drop-off site for food and items being donated to the Palatine Township Food Pantry. According to a Palatine Patch Neighbor post by Brian Huff, donations are needed for community members who are unemployed and struggling to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic. According to Huff, you can help by donating the following items:

  • Coffee/tea
  • Condiments
  • Canned corn
  • Peas
  • Carrots
  • Other non-perishable foodstuffs
  • Shampoo
  • Feminine products
  • Other personal items
  • Dish/laundry detergent
  • Disposable diapers

According to Huff, these gifts can be dropped off at any time (24/7) at the drop off box outside at the back of the church. The items are then picked up daily and brought over to the Palatine Township Food Pantry.
