Mac's On Slade Reopens Friday After License Dispute
Mac's On Slade owners said the bar would reopen Friday at 5 p.m. after closing because of the cold. Its liquor license also was suspended.

PALATINE, IL — Popular bar and music venue Mac's On Slade said it will reopen Friday night after closing it was closed for two days because of the cold and while owners reapplied for a liquor license that was suspended, a media outlet reported.
The village suspended the license after it was disclosed that the bar's owner, Jam 5 Inc., had a stockholder whose name was not listed on earlier applications. Village ordinance requires full disclosure of partners and shareholders.
Jeff Van Horn, co-owner of the bar, told the Daily Herald that the decision to close during this week's cold snap was made before the liquor license was suspended. He also said he would fully comply with village requirements so the bar could reopen Friday.

An attorney with the village said the new application would need to be reviewed and approved before doors opened again.
On Friday, representatives from Mac's said the kitchen was catching up, and that the bar would open at 5 p.m.
