Mother's Day is the perfect time to treat the moms, grandmas, sisters and aunts in your life! Celebrate the holiday, which falls on Sunday, May 12 this year, by enjoying a delicious brunch at a favorite restaurant in Palatine.
Agio Italian Bistro

- Cost: $29 for adults, $12.95 for children under 10
- Seating: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Palatine Patch readers voted Agio Italian Bistro as the best brunch last year. The Mother’s Day Champaign Brunch returns this year with its Italian spin. The menu includes favorites like rigatoni creamy marinara with spinach, beef tenderloin and chocolate covered strawberries. Reservations are recommended, seating fills quickly.

Emmett’s Tavern Brewing Co.

- Cost: $26.00 for adults, $12.99 for children. Children 5 and under are free.
- Seating: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant reopens at 4 p.m. with its regular menu.
- Emmett’s offers a cold buffet, carving station and desert for brunch. The restaurant offers its signature dishes after 4 p.m. including the maple roasted pork belly and cedar plant whitefish.

- Cost: $24.99 for adults, $17.99 for seniors, $9.99 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under free.
- Seating: 10 a.m.
- Durty Nellie’s is a rockin’ place that you may not think about when it comes to taking Mom out for brunch. But the Palatine restaurant and bar has a ton of brunch and lunch items as well as a complimentary mimosa and a flower for every Mom.
- 2200 W. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights
- Cost: Different packages are available. The Million Room’s package is $47 for adults, $20 for children 10 and under. Children 3 and under are free.
- Seating: 12 to 6 p.m.
- If you are looking for an elegant way to celebrate your Mom, Arlington Park will treat her like a million with the Million Room’s Mother’s Day brunch. The brunch has traditional items along with a whoopee pie station. There will be a full day of racing, too, but admission and Daily Racing Guide is extra. There are special packages that include brunch and admission. The Park has other restaurants, including the new Silks at 2200 where Mother’s Day Brunch includes a four-hour beer and wine package. Pricing is on the Park's website.
And if going out to brunch isn't your style, a chocolate chip pancake breakfast in bed will brighten any mom's day.
