Palatine Man, 2 Teens Arrested In Aggravated Robbery Case
Palatine police officers were called to the 1400 block of Ports O'Call Drive at 10 p.m. Monday for an armed robbery report.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man and two teens are facing aggravated robbery charges stemming from an armed robbery police said took place Monday night. According to a news release from the Palatine Police department, officers were called to the 1400 block of Ports O'Call Drive at 10 p.m. Monday for an armed robbery report. That's where officers found a male victim who said that while he was in the parking lot, two male teens got out of a black SUV, came up to him and demanded he given them his money and other valuables, the news release said. Police added that when the victim refused, one of the teenagers took out a black hand gun, and pointed it at the victim.
Both teenagers then started punching the victim in the face and body, and the driver of the SUV got out and punched the victim several times while the teens took the victim's wallet from his pocket, according to police.
Officers found a fake, black had gun near the reported robbery, which was identified as the gun used by one of the teens, according to the news release.

During the investigation, the driver of the SUV was identified as 24-year-old Marck A. Burgos, from the 1900 block of Green Lane North in Palatine. The two others accused in the incident are under 18 years old, and were taken to the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago, facing aggravated robbery charges, according to the news release.

Burgos faces one count of aggravated robbery, a felony, and was taken to the Cook County Third District Courthouse in Rolling Meadows Thursday for a bond court hearing during which his bond was set at $75,000 with 10 percent to apply by Judge Marisie, police said.
His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 2 in Rolling Meadows.
