Palatine Police Investigate Gang-Related Gunshots

Palatine police said some of the shots hit a coach house in car in a nearby complex, the Daily Herald reported.

PALATINE, IL — Palatine police are investigating after gunshots were exchanged between two groups Saturday morning in the 700 block of East Rand Grove Village in the Rand Grove Village apartment complex, Deputy Police Chief Bill Nord told the Daily Herald. Police said the gunshots started just before 1 a.m. and were gang related, the news source reported, adding that some of the gunshots hit a coach house in the nearby Whispering Oaks complex, and a car. No one was injured, however a resident told the Daily Herald she was shaken up when she heard the shots had hit her neighbor's unit.

No arrests have been made, and if you have information about the gunshots, police ask you call them at 847-359-9000.
