Palatine Theater Presents ‘Mama Mia!’

From ArtReach Theatre: ArtReach Educational Theatre is staging Mamma Mia! Shows will be performed on Friday, May 3rd at 7:30pm, Saturday. May 4th at 2 and 7:30pm, Friday, May 10th at 7:30pm, and Saturday, May 11th at 2 and 7:30pm, at The Cutting Hall Theatre located at 150 East Wood Street in Palatine.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Student/Children/Senior Tickets are available for $16 in advance, and $18 at the door/ Group Discounts Available. The story centers around Donna, a hotelier, in the Greek Islands, as she prepares for her daughter’s wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile, Sophie, the spirited bride has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

The production is being directed by Dan Walsh ( of Des Plaines) with Assistant Direction by Jonah Parra (of Des Plaines), Musical Direction by Beth Kaplan (of Downers Grove), and Choreography by Dan Walsh (of Des Plaines) and Jonah Parra (of Des Plaines).

The cast includes Felicia Filip Burkovskiy (of Berwyn) as Donna, Maureen Smyth Daugherty (of Lemont) as Tanya, Dominique Buonicore (of Arlington Heights) as Rosie, Jonah Parra (of Des Plaines) as Sam, Billy Vitucci (of Chicago() as Bill, Kevin Foss (of Palatine) as Sky, and sharing the role of Sophie is Julia Barbour (of Palatine) and Samera delCastillo (also of Palatine.)

The mission of ArtReach Educational Theatre is to expose children to all aspects of theatre, music and dance. We accept any child from Beginner to Advanced performing levels with a genuine interest in the arts from age 5 through high school. All children are challenged and encouraged.
