PALATINE, IL — A Palatine woman won big last month in an Illinois Lottery drawing in which her Arlington Heights-purchased ticket matched all five winning numbers.

Jayne Jeschke cashed in on a $112,500 Lucky Day Lotto prize with her numbers 01, 03, 07, 10 and 12 in the Friday, June 2, evening drawing, according to a Illinois Lottery press release.

“I didn’t know how much I won until I came into the lottery office," she reportedly said, when presented with her winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines. "This is awesome!"

She bought her winning ticket from the Shell gas station located at 3 W. Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights. The retailer received a bonus of $1,125, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

The holders of four winning tickets shared the Friday, June 2, Lucky Day Lotto jackpot of $450,000. The other three tickets — each worth $112,500 — were purchased in Chicago, Harwood Heights and East Alton.

More than 26,000 players won prizes ranging from $1 to $200 in the same Lucky Day Lotto drawing. Lucky Day Lotto drawings occur twice a day, seven days a week. For more information, visit illinoislottery.com.
