Road Reopens After Plane Lands On Northwest Highway

Palatine police said the pilot was the only one aboard the plane that landed on Northwest Highway in Palatine Thursday night.

PALATINE, IL — Palatine police officers said the southbound lanes of Quentin Road between Northwest Highway and Colfax Avenue are back open after a small, single engine airplane landed in the road Thursday night. According to village officials, the plane has also been removed. A news release from the Palatine Police Department said police were called to the 500 block of North Quentin Road at 6:11 p.m. Thursday after the plane landed in the road. That's where officers spoke with the plane's pilot who was the only one in the plane, police said.

According to police, there are no injuries being reported at the scene.
