Police Blotter: DUI and Traffic Arrests

March 24, 2015

Ronald A. Martin, 51, of the 1100 block of Palatine Road was arrested on a charge of retail theft on March 17 at Home Depot, 825 E. Dundee Rd, police reported. A Loss Prevention employee observed Martin conceal $136.63 worth of various merchandise under his coat, and pass the last point of sale after purchasing one item.

Brian T. Hanus, 27, of the 3000 block of Central Park Avenue in Chicago was arrested at 1:30 a.m., March 21 in the 100 block of S. Northwest Highway on charges of DUI, improper lane use and disobeying a traffic signal, police reported.

Caroline A. Wagner, 20, of the 500 block of Echo Lane, was arrested at 3:23 a.m. March 21 in the 700 block of W. Kimball Avenue, on two counts of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid collison, police reported.

Between an unknown time on March 12 and 8:21 a.m., March 18, in the 800 block of W. Panorama Drive an unknown offender(s) entered a 2012 Chevrolet van and removed $1,500 worth of various hand tools contained in two bags, police reported. The rear door lock appeared to be forced open.

Between 8 p.m., March 17 and 8:30 a.m., March 22, in the 500 block of North Quentin Road, an unknown offender(s) entered a 2010 Ford van and removed a power drill, police reported. The rear door lock appeared to be forced open.
